Dugu is a monumental sculptural cabinet from the Bolibana Collection, handcrafted from reclaimed oil barrels in Hamed Ouattara's studio in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. In the Dioula language, dugu means "land" or "earth" — the ground from which everything grows. The work embodies this rootedness: monumental in scale, dense in material presence, and deeply anchored in the Sahelian architectural imagination that defines Ouattara's practice.
