  “Dlani” is a cylindrical storage unit handcrafted from recycled oil barrels. Each piece is unique, as the original factory paint of the barrels is preserved — showing variations in colors, textures, and markings — and finished with a protective anti-rust varnish.

  This design features 2 drawers and rests on 3 welded triangular steel legs, combining industrial rawness with practical function. Originally conceived in 2004, “Dlani” remains part of an open series, embodying African upcycled design: bold, sustainable, and collectible.
