Budu — Sculptural Cabinet, Bolibana Collection
Budu — Sculptural Cabinet, Bolibana Collection
Budu is a sculptural cabinet from the Bolibana Collection, handcrafted from reclaimed oil barrels in Hamed Ouattara's studio in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Its name draws from Sahelian ancestral vocabulary, anchoring the work in a deep cultural lineage while its form — built from industrial steel — speaks to the present. Budu is among the founding pieces of the Bolibana Collection, first presented to international audiences in 2021.
