MARIAMA — Handcrafted Oil Drum Storage Cabinet

MARIAMA is a sculptural cabinet handcrafted from a reclaimed oil barrel in Hamed Ouattara's studio in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Named after a woman — as are several works in Ouattara's practice — the piece carries both formal elegance and a sense of intimate presence. The reclaimed steel surface, treated and refined by hand, holds the memory of its industrial origin while asserting itself as a singular domestic sculpture.
