Dioulassoba — Architectural Cabinet, Bolibana Collection
Dioulassoba is a monumental sculptural cabinet from the Bolibana Collection, handcrafted from reclaimed oil barrels in Hamed Ouattara's studio in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Its name refers to the historic Dioulassoba neighborhood of Bobo-Dioulasso — a living memory of Sahelian trade routes, ancestral architecture, and West African cultural exchange. The work is held in the permanent collection of the Brooklyn Museum, New York (accession no. 2023.66).
