A living space where I connect material, memory, and the future — between Ouagadougou and Atlanta

Studio Hamed Ouattara is more than a workspace — it's a place of life, transmission, and rebirth.

Born in Ouagadougou, shaped by the memory of the ancestors and the raw energy of materials, the studio explores a language where art and design merge. Every piece tells a story: the story of a living, spiritual, and free Africa.

Today, between Ouagadougou and Atlanta, we build bridges between our roots and the future.

From Barrel to Artwork: Matter Reborn

It all begins in the dust, the heat, the rhythm of metal being cut.

Barrels and discarded containers become noble materials in our hands. Every hammer blow and weld is a dialogue between fire, iron, and vision.

This process is a spiritual act — repairing, reinventing, and bringing life back to what the world has forgotten.

Spirit Within Matter

My inspiration comes from an ancient, invisible place.

It rises from the breath of the ancestors, the rhythm of drums, the silence of the desert, and the patience of trees. To create is to listen to what hides behind the material.

✨ A Way of Being

African spirituality is not a religion — it's a presence, a way of being in the world.

Building the Future from Ouagadougou

Burkina Faso is my source.

It's where I learned that beauty is born from limitation.

My workshop is open to those who wish to learn, create, and invent. What I'm building here is an ecosystem — a place where art becomes work, and work becomes dignity.

Atlanta: Bridging Worlds

My presence in the United States continues the same mission — to make cultures speak to each other and to show that Africa is not a trend but a source.

In every exhibition and every encounter, I carry Burkina in my hands and in my words.

SHO / USA is the natural extension of what I planted in Ouaga — a space for sharing, connecting, and building through African design.

Renaissance: A Movement

What I'm building is not just a career — it's a movement.

I dream of a future where African artists create from their own land and shine across the world.

Upcoming Projects

  • SIRA ARTA — paths toward that vision
  • SIRA LAB — innovation and experimentation
  • RENAISSANCE 1 & 2 — new chapters in the journey
As long as I have a hammer, a canvas, or a bit of light, I will keep creating to awaken, connect, and transform. — Hamed Ouattara
